Understanding the original 14th century method of a slaked plaster gesso. You will learn how to make it, how to use it and how to gild it.
Liquid Gesso will also be demonstrated, including the application of polishing, laying the gesso, as well as the actual gilding.
This is a lecture and demonstration type of class.
No materials necessary but my book, “The Technique of Raised Gilding” as suggested reading, is available on our website, discounted as a PDF file.
