I have had a lifelong love of all forms of art and lettering, especially anything involving brushes and pens! I studied Graphics and typography and worked commercially as a children’s book and tv illustrator for five years, before training for an Art teaching career in the late 70’s

I enjoy creating exuberantly colourful and fun decorated lettering as well as preparing more serious and formal calligraphic work within the commercial world. I have been teaching Calligraphy for 30 years and am a Fellow of both the Society of Scribes and Illuminators & the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society. A typical week for me is a delightful mix of teaching calligraphy and working to deadlines of ongoing commissions, be it lettering and /or illustrating…it’s a real pleasure and I feel very lucky to do something that I find so enjoyable.
